Control
This blog is about designing and building the controls for my model railway.
Like other blog pages, it contains drafts, notes, unfinished and finished texts and is thus subject to change.
The photo above shows part of the original mosaic signalling panel SpDrL60 of Schwarzach-St.Veit station around 1975. SpDrL60 stands for track diagram push button interlocking of the firm Lorenz type 60. This mosaic signalling panel consists of interchangeable square table tiles measuring 35 x 35 mm. In the SpDrL60, the interlocking and mosaic controls are one unit which makes the control fail-safe.
The photo below is the signalling panel of this station for my model railway and the rest of the track. Due to a lack of space, the replica of Schwarzach-St.Veit station has fewer signals and tracks and the panel of my model railway is about a quarter of the original. As a result the panel is only 1400 mm wide and the tiles 15.24 x 15.24 mm.
